In February 2003 I went to Guatemala on an assignment for Save the Children and the TV appeal in 2003.
Guatemala - the Kingdom of the Maya Indians - has a fascinating history. The Mayas are a proud and beautiful people. But they have suffered greatly from discrimination by their Spanish rulers and they struggle to preserve their culture, religion and human rights. The purpose of my trip was to get photographic evidence of the living conditions of children who are included in Save the Children projects.
